boring terms and conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All pieces of Uncelebrated Jewellery are individually hand-made to order and can take between 3-8 weeks to manufacture. If the piece is purchased from the Ready to Ship section, item will be shipped within 4 business days
The manufacturing process is based around experimentation and each piece will vary slightly from the one pictured online. The sand-casting process used in any melted signet means that each piece is completely unique, making it impossible to recreate an exact replica to something seen online.
Variations in stone colours, overall shape, texture and finish may occur.
SHIPPING
All care is taken to send out each piece in perfect condition. Each piece is safely housed in a jewellery pouch and box.
We are not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged in the post. All orders are shipped via Auspost, if you require a different courier company please get in touch. For Australian orders, please include a mobile number to allow tracking notifications.
CARE
To care for your new jewellery, wash in warm soapy water and avoid harsh chemicals. A polishing cloth can be used to clean the surface of your jewellery and rejuvenate some shine.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
If you are unhappy with your item it can be exchanged free of charge (excluding postage and handling costs) for another item or a credit note. The piece must be returned to us within 14 days of original purchase. Returned pieces must be in original condition, unworn and unwashed, with a purchase receipt and original packaging. Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.
Please return pieces in their original packaging or a sturdy box. Do not send jewellery to us in an envelope, this violates our return/repair policy and will be returned to the customer at their expense.
CUSTOM/BESPOKE RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
All bespoke pieces are final sale. Each piece is individually hand-made just for you therefore exchanges, returns and/or alterations are not possible. By purchasing online or paying the deposit and/or balance you are agreeing to the terms and conditions herein. A custom piece is anything which has been altered from the original style, ring size, stone selection, stone layout, finish or metal choice of a piece listed online at www.uncelebratedjewellery.com
RE-SIZING
For client supplied sizes, a $30 fee is incurred for re-sizing. This excludes return shipping. For incorrect ring sizes ascertained in person by staff at Uncelebrated Jewellery, re-size will be completed free of charge.
We reserve the right to refuse completing a ring re-size.
Uncelebrated Jewellery must be notified with your intention to re-size within 30 days of delivery of jewellery, anything outside this will incur a $50 fee. We cannot re-size more than 2-3 sizes from the original size.
Resizing melted signets with cast in place stones is done at the risk of the client, understanding that movement to cast in place stones increases the chance of stones cracking/falling out. If the customer is made aware of the risk via written communication, Uncelebrated Jewellery is not responsible for repairing said piece.
REFUNDS
A refund will be given as a last resort if the piece received is faulty. We cannot offer refunds for items lost, stolen or damaged during shipping or for change of mind. Refunds are only possible within 30 days of original purchase.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Written notification of your intention to cancel your order must be received by us within 12 hours of placing your order. This includes payment of invoice deposit, online shop or personal order. If production has commenced we cannot cancel your order and you will forfeit your deposit.
REPAIRS
Free repairs (excluding postage and handling fees) are offered on pieces deemed faulty due to poor craftsmanship. Anything beyond fair wear and tear can be repaired for a fee mutually agreed on by Uncelebrated Jewellery and the customer.
Manufacturing faults do not include:
- Broken or damaged chains
- Chipped, cracked, lost or broken stones
- Bent/snapped rings
- Oxidization or discoloration of metals.
DEPOSITS
For commissioned (bespoke) pieces, a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the order. The deposit amount is negotiable but cannot be refunded. The payment of the deposit is deemed as 'sign-off' on the piece, and no changes can be made after the deposit is paid. This includes but is not limited to metal type, ring size, chain length, stone selection, stone placement and engraving.
SALE ITEMS
Sale items are final sale. We do not offer returns, refunds, exchanges or re-sizing on sale items. Each sale item is sold 'as is' and we are not responsible for any faults or incorrect sizing. We reserve the right to refund sale items at our sole discretion.
